Another try at turning a Pinacosaurus into a catapult. This time the raptor distracts it with a larger pile of ferns and ties the clubbed tail to a much larger rock, preventing the possibility that the Pinacosaurus might set it off itself. Those Ankylosaurid forelimbs are a pain to draw, there was a recent study that they looked similar to the feet of sauropods, but since I suck at drawing sauropod feet they obviously look a little bit weird. But it´s a comic.
And the most famous Mongolian predator after Velociraptor, Tarbosaurus bataar, makes an appearance. He has eaten his fill and is just yawning, so don´t worry that he´d end poor Velociraptor´s life. Being a descendant of small feathered dinosaurs like Dilong the Tarbosaurus has to have some feathers, but due to living in a desert he has lost most of the feathers, but note that those bare areas are not covered in any scales, but just naked skin. I´ve often heard claims about a Tarbosaurus fossil with a preserved dewlap, but I can´t really find any papers about that. The bumps on its snout are more or less artistic licence based on the idea that Alioramus might be a juvenile Tarbosaurus.
